Sellardsicrinus was named by Moore and Plummer (1940) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-u C Mosc-u]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Sellardsicrinidae.

It was assigned to Sellardsicrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
