Taxonomy
Otoites antipodus was named by Arkell (1954). Its type specimen is CPC F21093, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mount Hill (CPC collection), which is in a Bajocian shallow subtidal limestone in the Newmarracarra Limestone Formation of Australia.
