Taxonomy
Granulirhynchia granulata was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Leckhampton Hill, Pea Grit (Murchisonae), which is in a Murchisonae carbonate limestone in the Birdlip Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Granulirhynchia.
