Taxonomy
Thalamocrinus was named by Miller and Gurley (1895) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl-l S Ludl-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Thalamocrinus ovatus. It is the type genus of Thalamocrinidae.

It was assigned to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Thalamocrinidae by Ausich and Cournoyer (2019).
