Taxonomy
Ammonites adeloides was named by Kudernatsch (1852).

It was recombined as Lytoceras adeloides by Waagen (1875) and Douvillé (1916); it was recombined as Thysanolytoceras adeloides by Jeannet (1951); it was recombined as Lytoceras eudesianum adeloides by Whicher et al. (2023).
