Ammonites rehmanni was named by Oppel (1862).

It was recombined as Perisphinctes rehmanni by Waagen (1875); it was recombined as Reineckeia rehmanni by Jeannet (1951); it was recombined as Rehmannia rehmanni by Schlegelmilch (1985).
