Encrinurus multisegmentatus trispinosus was named by Reed (1914) [Encrinurus multisegmentatus Reed 1906, p. 122, pi. 16, figs. 9-lla.].

It was recombined as Encrinurus trispinosus by Tripp (1957).

FĂ­xed cheeks coarsely tuberculate, with one large tubercle at the front.
