Paramphicrinus was named by Strimple and Moore (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-u C Step-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Euryocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978) and Pabian and Rushlau (2002); and to Sagenocrinida by Sepkoski (2002).
