Ailsacrinus was named by Taylor (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath. Not homonym Ailsacrinus Mironov & Sorokina 1998, replaced by Camaecrinus Mironov & Sorokina 1998]. Its type is Ailsacrinus abbreviatus.
It was assigned to Millericrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Millericrinidae by Hess and Messing (2011).
