Neodadocrinus was named by Manni and Nicosia (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine-u , J Plie-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Neodadocrinus tokayi. It is the type genus of Neodadocrinidae.
It was assigned to Millericrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Neodadocrinidae by Hess and Messing (2011).
