Taxonomy
Renites striatus was named by Bogoslovsky (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 1048/523, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kara-Dzhar River, west of Sukhinovka, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in Kazakhstan.
