Taxonomy
Cyclocrinus was named by d'Orbigny (1850) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bajo K Albi Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant. Its type is Bourgueticrinus rugosus.

It was assigned to Cyrtocrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cyclocrinidae by Hess and Gale (2010).
