Taxonomy
Ammonites juddii was named by Barrois and Guerne (1898). It is the type species of Neocardioceras.

It was recombined as Neocardioceras juddii by Cobban (1988), Wilmsen and Nagm (2013) and Wilmsen and Nagm (2014).
