Ammonites bladenensis was named by Schlüter (1871). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Otoscaphites (Otoscaphites) bladenensis by Tanabe (1977); it was recombined as Otoscaphites bladenensis by Wright (1979) and Young (1979); it was recombined as Yezoites bladenensis by Wilmsen and Nagm (2014).
