Taxonomy
Gephyroceras domanicense was named by Holzapfel (1899). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 75/304, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Probeloceras domanicense by Bogoslovsky (1969); it was recombined as Ponticeras domanicense by Korn and Klug (2002).
