Taxonomy
Gephyroceras keyserlingi was named by Holzapfel (1899). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 98/304, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Probeloceras keyserlingi by Bogoslovsky (1969); it was recombined as Ponticeras keyserlingi by Korn and Klug (2002).
