Strambergocrinus was named by Zitt (1979) [Sepkoski's age data: K Vala-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Cyrtocrinus remesi.

It was assigned to Cyrtocrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sclerocrinidae by Hess and Messing (2011).
