Taxonomy
Tetracrinus was named by Muenster (1839) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine-u J Tith-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Eugeniacrinites moniliformis. It is the type genus of Tetracrinidae.

It was assigned to Cyrtocrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tetracrinidae by Hess and Messing (2011).
