Taxonomy
Bridelioxylon americanum was named by Petriella (1972). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: LP-PB 9070, a wood, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puesto Fernández - wood, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial sandstone in the Bororó Formation of Argentina.
