Bridelioxylon americanum

Taxonomy
Bridelioxylon americanum was named by Petriella (1972). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: LP-PB 9070, a wood, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puesto Fernández - wood, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial sandstone in the Bororó Formation of Argentina.

Petriella 1972Vasos moderadamente numerosos, poros radiales múltiples de 2-4 células y solitarios; diámetro tangencial mediano; elementos vasculares cortos, perforación simple, punteaduras intervasculares alternas, ornadas. Parénquima escasamente paratraqueal y difuso. Radios 3-4 seriados, ligeramente heterogéneos. Fibras libriformes?, septadas.
