Taxonomy
Protactoclymenia parallela was named by Zong et al. (2015). Its type specimen is PUM 14018, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is XZ549A, Hebukehe-E section, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Hongguleleng Formation of China.
