Taxonomy
Schistoceras uralense was named by Ruzhentsev (1939). Its type specimen is PIN 320/1721, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ural river, west of Nikolsk, bed 28, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
