Taxonomy
Vidrioceras borissiaki was named by Ruzhentsev (1939). Its type specimen is PIN 320/5034, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sakmara River, cut 165 km, bed 17, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
