Marathonites uralensis
Taxonomy
Marathonites uralensis was named by Ruzhentsev (1940). Its type specimen is PIN 320/5193, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South of Sakmara River, Mikhailovska Farm, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Marathonites (Marathonites) uralensis by Ruzhentsev (1950).
