Pseudoantedon was named by Valette (1933) [Sepkoski's age data: K Vala K Barr]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudoantedon icaunensis.

It was reranked as Solanocrinites (Pseudoantedon) by Rasmussen (1961).

It was assigned to Solanocrinites by Rasmussen (1961); to Comatulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Decameridae by Hess and Messing (2011).
