Taxonomy
Pseudosaccocoma was named by Remes (1905) [Sepkoski's age data: J Tith K Apti-l]. It is the type genus of Pseudosaccocominae, Pseudosaccocomidae.

It was assigned to Pseudosaccocominae by Rasmussen (1961); to Encrinida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pseudosaccocomidae by Hess and Messing (2011).
