Dolichocrinus was named by Loriol (1891) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bajo J Tith]. It is not extant. Its type is Eugeniacrinus aberrans.
It was assigned to Crinoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eudesicrinidae by Hess and Messing (2011) and Hess (2012).
