Edriocrinus was named by Hall (1858) [Sepkoski's age data: D Gedi D Eife]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Edriocrinidae.

It was assigned to Edriocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Crinoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
