Multiporopollenites pauciporatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Type locality: Piñalerita Creek near Sabanalarga. PaleoDB number 28775.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 34, 13.5 x 87.2, a microspore (Pollen grain).
