Albertipollenites perforatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Dimensions in equatorial view. ]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 53, 14.5 x 109.5, a microspore (Pollen grain).

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967 (Retitricolpites perforatus)Pollen grain tricolpate; subsphaeroidal-subangular; furrow C α 1, C β 1a, C γ 2-1; sculpture type reticulate (-foveolate), muri simplibaculate, semitectate. Thickness of exine 2.5 μ, ectexine thicker than endexine. Polar are rather small.
