Taxonomy
Calymene meeki retrorsa was named by Foerste (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Half a mile above the mouth of Silver creek, east of Dunlapsville, which is in a Richmondian offshore ramp packstone/mudstone in the Waynesville Formation of Indiana.
It was recombined as Calymene retrorsa by Foerste (1919); it was recombined as Flexicalymene (Flexicalymene) retrorsa by Owen (1986); it was recombined as Flexicalymene retrorsa by Hunda and Hughes (2007).
