Limacina vegrandis was named by Cahuzac and Janssen (2010). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tuilerie de Gan (Janssen RGM collection), which is in a Ypresian offshore shelf marl/claystone in the Marnes de Gan Formation of France.
