Cricotriporites minutiporus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Locality: PaleoDB number 28865. ]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 41, 7.1 x 82.5, a microspore (Pollen grain).
