Novisargus rarus
Taxonomy
Novisargus rarus was named by Zhang (2014). Its type specimen is NIGP DHG201302, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China. It is the type species of Novisargus.
