Taxonomy
Nautilus arariformis was named by Pia (1914). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is New Brücklerbruch quarry, Adnet, which is in a Sinemurian carbonate limestone in Austria.
It was recombined as Cenoceras arariformis by Kummel (1956).
