Taxonomy
Megaphyllites johannisboehmi was named by Pompeckj (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kothalpe am Schweinsberg (Wendelstein), which is in a Rhaetian marine horizon in the Koessen Formation of Germany.
