Rhoipites cienagensis

Rhoipites cienagensis was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [n.comb.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 39, 21 x 110, a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Pinalerita UFP 34, Llanos foothills, COlombia, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic siliciclastic in the Areniscas de el Limbo Formation of Colombia.
