Taxonomy
Kiaeromena (Kiaeromena) harperi was named by Cocks (2010) [= 1871 Strophomena rhomboidalis (Wilckens); Davidson, p. 281 pars, pl. 39, fig. 21, non figs 1–20; nec pl. 44, fig. 1.
= 1963 Kiaeromena cf. kjerulfi (Holtedahl); Williams, p. 464, pl. 16, figs 1–5, 8.
= 1974 Kiaeromena cf. kjerulfi (Holtedahl); Williams, p. 149, pl. 27, figs 6, 10–11.
= 2008 Kiaeromena (Kiaeromena) cf. kjerulfi (Holtedahl); Cocks, p. 55.]. Its type specimen is BC 58569, a valve (ventral valve internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is quarry SW of Gaerfawr Hill, near Welshpool, Gaer Fawr Fm., which is in a Longvillian/Woolstonian carbonate horizon in the Gaer Fawr Formation of the United Kingdom.
