Diplolepis vetus
Taxonomy
Rhodites vetus was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH H. 701, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Diplolepis vetus by Liu and Engel (2007) and Pujade-Villar and Peñalver (2019).
