Kjaerina complanata
Taxonomy
Leptaena complanata was named by de Sowerby and Murchison (1839) [Lectotype selected by Stubblefield (in Pocock et al. 1938, p. 84).
=1994 Kjaerina bipartita (J. de C. Sowerby); Rong and Cocks, p. 672 pars, pl. 3, figs 3–5.]. Its type specimen is GSM Geol. Soc. Coll. 6907, a valve (a partially exfoliated dorsal valve exterior), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Kjaerina complanata by Cocks (2010).
