Revalotrypa honguedensis was named by Ernst and Munnecke (2009). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is A1538 Natiscotec road, which is in a Hirnantian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Ellis Bay Formation of Canada.
