Carabocrinus tuberculatus was named by Billings (1859) [Carabocrinus (?) tuberculatus]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Carleton Point, which is in a Richmondian carbonate limestone/shale in the Vaureal Formation of Canada.
