Valenopsalis joyneri

Taxonomy
Catopsalis joyneri was named by Sloan and Van Valen (1965). Its type specimen is U.M.V.P. 1494, a maxilla (right maxilla with complete palate, M1, roots of P4, and alveoli of P3 and M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bug Creek Anthills, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.

It was recombined as Valenopsalis joyneri by Williamson et al. (2016).
