Taxonomy
Utaturiceras chrysanthemum was named by Matsumoto et al. (2003). Its type specimen is GK.H8410, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is R543, Suribachi-zawa, which is in a Cenomanian marine mudstone in Japan.
