Taxonomy
Asaphus brevicaudatus was named by Deslongchamps (1825) [Néotype]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is LGC 720, a cephalon/head.

It was recombined as Plaesiacomia brevicaudata by Deslongchamps (1825) and Tromelin (1877); it was recombined as Kerfornella brevicaudata by Henry (1976).
