Taxonomy
Sylviodes martynovae was named by Aristov (2015). Its type specimen is PIN 3353/424, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 3353), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
