Taxonomy
Liomopterella tota was named by Aristov (2005). Its type specimen is PIN 1631/429, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Khal'mer-Yu coalfield, borehole KhK-972, depth 346.5 m, which is in a Kungurian terrestrial horizon in the Lek-Vorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Paraskalicia tota by Aristov (2015).
