Taxonomy
Cyrtosymbole rectifrons was named by Lerosey-Aubril and Feist (2006). Its type specimen is UMC-IP442 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Korb-el-Atil, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Erfoud Formation of Morocco.
