Eocricetodon meridionalis

Taxonomy
Eucricetodon meridionalis was named by Wang and Meng (1986). Its type specimen is IVPP V7952.1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Caijiachong (IVPP Loc. 80020), which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Caijiachong Formation of China. It is the type species of Eocricetodon.

It was recombined as Eocricetodon meridionalis by Wang (2007) and Gomes Rodrigues et al. (2010).
