C. G. Mark 1912 (Lima krotowi) | This species differs from the preceding one [Lima retifera Shumard] in having costae very irregular in size and often arranged in fascicles. The figure shows a specimen with the central costae much smaller than those on either side, whereas in L. retifera the costae are always largest near the center of the shell and gradually decrease in size toward the anterior and posterior margins. |
