Kastanoceras spinigerum

Taxonomy
Kastanoceras spiniger was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1990). Its type specimen is USNM 423699, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 22871, Alzada, which is in a Cenomanian marine shale in Montana. It is the type species of Kastanoceras.

It was corrected as Kastanoceras spinigerum by Wright et al. (1996).
